The mission of Prasanthi Dham is to create a comprehensive spiritual home outside of Prasanthi Nilayam dedicated to Sri Sathya Sai Baba. This sanctuary will offer a peaceful, ashram-like setting with open access to all Sathya Sai devotees and individuals of all faiths and backgrounds to meet, learn and practice the teachings of Sri Sathya Sai Baba and feel emotionally closer to Prasanthi Nilayam. Prasanthi Dham will foster Unity of all faiths and will be open to anyone, irrespective of their religious beliefs, ethnicity, gender or nationality.
By offering transformative pathways through diverse spiritual practices, selfless service, high-impact public health initiatives, value-based education, and leadership formation, Prasanthi Dham nurtures a community where love and compassion flourish, and the inherent divinity in every being is honored and awakened. This will contribute to driving unity across all Sai Groups in the Greater Dallas area and bring about positive changes in our communities and around the world and inspire future generations to carry forward the teachings and practice of Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
Unity is very dear to Swami. We are grateful to Swami for inspiring this much needed effort.
What better gift can we offer to Swami in the 100th year of His Divine Advent? This effort is truly for unification of our love for Swami and our collective offering to Him beginning this 100th year of His Divine Advent.
Several activities are being planned to unify Sai devotees. A unification team across various Sai organizations will be created to organize and coordinate several activities to foster unity and Oneness with Sai among devotees.
More ideas are welcome!
Aligned to the offerings at Prasanthi Nilayam, the following activities will be hosted and supported at Prasanthi Dham:
In addition, Prasanthi Dham will be used to host major celebrations, special spiritual events, educational workshops and seminars organized by Prasanthi Dham as well as regional, national and international retreats, seminars and conferences organized by the various Sri Sathya Sai worldwide Organizations.
One of the primary goals of Prasanthi Dham is to provide a reliable communication platform – a Prasanthi Dham website that will provide a comprehensive, transparent and accurate update of various spiritual, community service and educational activities being undertaken; organizational plans and progress made, applicable financial and operational matters and associated risk. There will also be a section on the website dedicated to addressing FAQs from devotees and to receive ideas, thoughts and feedback on ways to strengthen and grow unity and align with divinity at Prasanthi Dham. The website will also be linked to a time share reservation system for Residential Units and will provide easy accessibility to the Sri Sathya Sai Media Centre and other Sai organizations and educational sites.
This website is in the early phase of planning and design and is anticipated to be rolled out for public access in January 2026. Other communication options are being explored and will be implemented (WhatsApp, Face Book, etc.)
Prasanthi Dham will be located on a 9+ acre property at 3888 Love All Drive, Plano, TX 75074, USA. It is centrally situated in the greater metropolitan area of Dallas with proximity to freeways, train station and airports for convenient access by local, national and global devotees. It is also significant that this property is in the middle of a multi-faith corridor with a Church, Mosque, Buddhist Temple and Synagogue as neighbors and in the vicinity of Swami Narayan and Shirdi Baba Temples.
Prasanthi Dham will have a large multi-purpose building facility on the south side of the campus and six residential buildings with a large dining hall, kitchen and storage area for disaster relief activities on the north side.
Multi-Purpose Building
A multi-purpose building facility with an area of 33,000 sq. feet will be built on the campus. It will be a state-of-the-art, Net Zero energy (NZE) building with 100% of energy requirements met through on-site, zero emission renewable energy sources. This building will have a large entry hall (an atrium reminiscent of the Super Specialty Hospital in Puttaparthi) and will include three wings:
Residential Complex
In addition to the above, Prasanthi Dham will also include a residential complex. There will be five residential buildings for devotees to stay during their visits to Prasanthi Dham. Each building will have four floors, and each floor will have a combination of two studio apartments, two one-bedroom apartments and one two-bedroom apartment for a total of five apartments. There will be 20 apartments in each building for a total of 100 residential units for individuals, a group or a family to occupy.
In addition to the living quarters, the residential complex will also include a large dining area with a fully equipped kitchen facility for devotees to use and a dedicated facility to plan, store, and execute disaster relief activities.
Prasanthi Dham is directly affiliated to the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust (SSSCT) headquartered in Prasanthi Nilayam, Puttaparthi, India. Consequently, all assets of Prasanthi Dham including land, building and all financial funds (both operating and corpus) will be under the direct ownership of SSSCT based in Puttaparthi, India. Since SSSCT legally cannot own properties outside of India, the above will be affected via Sri Sathya Sai Global Foundation (SSSGF) which is an affiliate of the SSSCT in the USA. However, all Sai organizations are welcome to use the facilities of Prasanthi Dham.
Prasanthi Dham is open to all Sai devotees independent of their organizational affiliation and individuals of all faiths or religious beliefs. There are no membership requirements of any sort or other restrictions for individuals to participate and stay involved in Prasanthi Dham activities.
Absolutely! Everyone is invited to participate and volunteer in Prasanthi Dham activities independent of their spiritual organizational affiliation. Volunteer work is extremely critical for Prasanthi Dham. Without proper volunteer support, the Prasanthi Dham will not be able to effectively coordinate and support various activities on the premises including spiritual, educational and community service programs on a regular basis. Consequently, Prasanthi Dham will implement a structured Volunteer Support Program with the following considerations:
SOULS, the current 501 (c)(3) organization managing Prasanthi Dham activities will be renamed to Prasanthi Dham Foundation (PDF) and reorganized under a new set of Bylaws, Board of Directors and an executive committee. Moving forward, Prasanthi Dham Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization registered in the State of Texas will be responsible for the overall management of Prasanthi Dham including oversight on all construction, financial and operational activities. Prasanthi Dham Foundation operates under the strict guidelines of Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust (SSSCT) and Sri Sathya Sai Global Foundation (SSSGF).
The Board of Directors of Prasanthi Dham Foundation will provide oversight of all activities at Prasanthi Dham and ensure alignment with Prasanthi Nilayam. However, the day-to-day functioning will be coordinated and managed by specific committees – namely, Mission committee, Building committee, and Finance committee.
An Executive Committee appointed by the Board of Directors for a term of three years will be responsible for planning, executing and managing various operations of Prasanthi Dham. This Committee will include the President and Chairs of three operating committees - Finance Committee, Building Committee and Mission Committee - who will lead and oversee the responsibilities of their committee. Each operating Committee will consist of 8 to 10 individuals drawn from local/national Sai communities with expertise in specific focus areas of their committee to coordinate and manage their assigned tasks.
A clearly articulated leadership succession plan is very critical to the growth and sustainability of Prasanthi Dham. Once the Prasanthi Dham startup activities including fund raising and construction priorities are achieved, the Board will focus on working with other stakeholders and Sai organizational leaders to develop and implement a succession plan that is aligned with Prasanthi Dham's mission of unity and Prasanthi Nilayam guidelines.
Based on current plans, the estimated funds required to develop the land and complete the construction of all buildings in Prasanthi Dham will be in the range of $20 million to $23 million.
The funds raised initially were used to purchase 9+ acres of land ($1.6 million) and complete the initial architectural plans and drawings of the building. The title of the property is held by Prasanthi Dham Foundation without any liens or other financial encumbrances.
The annual funds required to support on-going operations and maintenance of the buildings and property at Prasanthi Dham is estimated around $660,000 annually. In projecting these funds, the following factors were taken into consideration:
Corpus Fund to Support Operating & Building Maintenance Costs
In order to support ongoing operating and maintenance expenses, a $10 million Corpus Fund will be created. This fund will be managed professionally and invested in a well-diversified portfolio with lower risk threshold and providing a sustainable expected return of 6%, net of any management fees. Special risk mitigation efforts will also be implemented to limit erosion of principal balance.
The investment income from corpus funds, other voluntary contributions from devotees and food service activities will create sufficient funds to support on-going operational and maintenance activities.
The Prasanthi Dham Foundation will be the primary organization focusing on securing the necessary funds to build and operate Prasanthi Dham. All sourcing and management of funding activities will adhere to the strict guidelines of Sri Sathya Sai Baba and the protocols set by SSSCT and SSSGF.
Funds raised initially were used to purchase the 9+ acres of land in Plano, TX and complete the initial architectural plans and drawings of the main building. The title of the property is held by Prasanthi Dham Foundation without any liens or other financial encumbrances.
Moving forward, the Finance committee comprising an experienced and dedicated group of Sai devotees across the USA, India and worldwide will be empowered to support sourcing of required funds with oversight from SSSGF and SSSCT leadership.
The following avenues will be explored to source required funds to complete construction of Prasanthi Dham and establish a corpus fund generating sufficient investment income to support ongoing operations and maintenance activities:
Please contact the Finance Committee at info@prasanthidham.org for more information.
Prasanthi Dham has full ownership and title on the 9+ acres land with no liens or any encumbrances. SOULS financial statements including sources and uses of funds, and tax filings were verified and found in order by the new Prasanthi Dham Board.
A new set of Bylaws were adopted by the Prasanthi Dham Foundation Board of Directors on November 5, 2025 and duly incorporated with the Secretary of State office, Dallas TX. These Bylaws incorporate new governance, board composition and asset ownership to be consistent with the guidelines of SSSGF, SSSCT and Prasanthi Nilayam.
Consistent with the new Bylaws, new Board of Directors were appointed during the November 5, 2025 Board Meeting.
The organization name was formally changed from SOULS to Prasanthi Dham Foundation (doing business as Prasanthi Dham) during the Board Meeting on Nov 5, 2025 and recorded with the State of Texas.
It is anticipated that Prasanthi Dham will be fully operational by December 2028. However, plans are underway and earnest efforts will be made to begin operations in phases starting 2027.
A detailed roadmap is being worked on. Stay tuned.
Other than some potential financial challenges and unforeseen difficulty to secure needed funds from various sources, there are no visible risks or known limitations to moving forward the Prasanthi Dham plans.
Potential challenges will be mitigated based on aligning development activities with fund availability. The organization is committed to maintaining a Zero-debt policy.
